Project Description
Westland Distillery
URBANADD collaborated with the owners of Westland on this award-winning adaptive reuse of a timber warehouse built in 1918. The team focused on weaving the visitor experience into the distilling process, offering guests a contemporary perspective on the time-honored art of making whiskey. Behind the elegant wood and steel tasting bar, the facility houses a 5,000-liter mash house and a world-class still room housing two enormous copper pot stills. The barrel room holds upwards of 100 barrels and is used for a multitude of events. Staff offices are located on the mezzanine above the state-of-the-art climate-controlled QC lab.
